Who am I?
Let me introduce myself, my name is Lisa Jury, I’m very pleased to meet you. This is my office and this is where I spend the majority of my time working with people of all ages.
If you are visiting me for therapy you may find details directions and access information to my therapy room here.
BWRT Therapist, Mentor, Supervisor & Trainer
I am a BWRT Advanced Practitioner, and also hold the position of a Mentor, Supervisor and Trainer.
I have also written and teach my own course about working with our youngest generation (Generation z), to fellow BWRT therapists. It’s a 6 week course based around building resilience in adolescents and young adults.
Prior to becoming a therapist I was a District Nurse for many years working in London’s East End. I’ve been through the ups and downs of life myself, and have experienced being on the receiving end of anxiety and depression. That’s where my personal interest in mental health began, sorting out my own.
Eventually I was fortunate enough to have studied with the world renown therapist, author, trainer and general all round genius, Terence Watts at the Terence Watts BWRT Institute. Since then, I’ve forged my career in therapy and never looked back.
The human brain is an incredibly complex organ and it effects absolutely every aspect of our life. It controls all our physical actions, the mechanics of bodily functions and all emotional states and thought processes.
As Albert Einstein was quoted as saying ‘the world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking’.
My work and Me
My work and me are almost one and the same thing. It would be difficult to list hobbies and interests as such, because my work is the thing that consumes me the majority of the time.
I’m either reading, researching or writing about my area of work. Studying is also an integral part of my position and Continual Professional Development is something that I undertake diligently and also with great interest.
I was also give the opportunity to present at the 2019 BWRT World Congress and again in 2021, which was an honour for me. BWRT therapists from around the world congregate yearly to meet, listen to presentations, and learn from our fellow practitioners. To be able to present to such a sterling audience was a real career highlight.
I also train therapists in BWRT Level 1 so they can add this amazing therapy to their practice. All the information about the Level 1 training can be found on my website at www.bwrtsoutheast.com
Having read a little bit about me, how can I help you?
